Eastern Madagascar

This tour covers 2 wonderful reserves/national parks (Andasibe and Akanin’ny nofy) finding special lemurs (Indri and Aye aye). In this 8 days tour you will have opportunities to explore the eastern part of the country. You will first stop in Andasibe where the famous Indri Indri lemur and much other biodiversity is awaiting you. Then, you will drive to Akanin’ny nofy to enjoy the palmarium reserve where you will glimpse the Aye Aye, the famous nocturnal lemur. There is also the possibility of some time on the beach. After that, you will drive back to the capital and take your international flight back.Explore the lush rainforests of eastern Madagascar, a paradise for birdwatchers and wildlife lovers. Discover endemic birds such as Vangas, Asities, Ground Rollers and Couas, while enjoying encounters with iconic species like the Indri Indri and the Aye-Aye in their natural habitats.

Day 1: Arrival in Antananarivo and transfer to hotel

Day 2: travel to Andasibe; visit VOIMMA (VONDRON’OLONA MIARO MITIA ALA) reserve

Day 3: National park of Andasibe - home of the biggest lemur: the Indri indri

Day 4 : Andasibe – Manambato – Akanin’ny nofy (Waterside lodge)

Day 5: Akanin’ny nofy and Palmarium reserve (nocturnal lemurs : Aye Aye)

Day 6: Return to Antananarivo

Day 7: discover the secret of the capital city

Day 8: Depart
